Triple Honors at ICCP9

(January 2015)¬†At the recently concluded 9th International Conference on Computational Physics (ICCP9), held at NUS, three participants from our group were honored with the Best Poster Awards. They are Sandhya Chintalapati, for her poster on the “Influence of Surface Orientation on the Magnetism of Non-Magnetic Doped Semiconductors”, Wu Qingyun for his poster on “Efficient Spin Injection into Graphene by Tunnel Barriers: Overcoming Spin Conductance Mismatch, and Zhou Jun for his poster on “Why the Insulator-Metal Transition of Lanthanum Aluminate – Strontium Titanate is a Step Function at Four Lanthanum Alumniate Unit Cells”. Each recipient of the award received a certificate, a book donated by Springer, and a cash award provided by QuanatumWise.

ICCP9
